Welcoming a new puppy or kitten into your home is an exciting time! It is important to start your newest addition off on the right paw, and your veterinary care team at WVC is here to help you. Your first visit with your puppy or kitten will be a 45-60 minute appointment with a full nose to tail examination. Taking time to establish a relationship with you and your pet is an important part of caring for them in the future. We will use this time to talk to you about:
- Basic care and cleanliness

- Puppy or Kitten vaccination protocols
- Nutrition
- Training and behavior
- Parasites, both internal and external
- Overall health, and breed considerations
We will be guiding you through your pet’s first months of care with several visits to continue vaccines, and finally to estimate for and schedule their spay or neuter procedure.
