Dr. C. Michael Hayes
Veterinarian / OwnerDr. Hayes has been the owner and head veterinarian of Williamsburg Veterinary Clinic for eight years and is proud to say it has remained an AAHA accredited practice since he bought the clinic in 2010. He graduated from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. After practicing in Virginia Beach for two years, he moved to Orlando with his wife, Holly. Dr. Hayes’ veterinary special interests include emergency medicine, dermatology, preventive medicine and the human-animal bond. When he is not working hard in the clinic, he is spending quality time with his wife and two daughters, watching his favorite football teams, researching his family’s next cruise adventure, or being involved with his local church.
Office ManagerRose has been working in the veterinary field for 22 years and recently became our clinic’s office manager after being a technician here for two years. She has a bachelor’s degree in Business and Human Resources and applies her education daily in her office manager role. She makes sure the clinic runs smoothly during the week and that our clients are always satisfied with their pet’s care. Rose loves spending time on Florida’s west coast, fishing, and watching for her favorite animals – sea turtles. Working with animals is Rose’s lifetime passion, and one of her favorite aspects of her job at WVC is developing long-term relationships with clients and seeing their pets growing up.
Certified Veterinary Technician/Marketing ManagerTyler has been working with the WVC family since 2013. She is a graduate of both UCF (Go Knights!) and St. Petersburg College, and recently passed the national exam to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. Tyler’s favorite things about her job here at WVC are having the opportunity to work with so many talented people that care so much about their patients, and working on the clinic’s website and social media to share your pet’s stories! Tyler also has a special place in her heart for the small pocket pets we see, including her own two ferrets, Bonkers and Zeke. In her free time, Tyler loves watching all of the Orlando City Soccer games with her husband, playing video games, working in her cactus garden and traveling!
Veterinary NurseShanna is originally from West Virginia and has been working in the veterinary field for 17 years. Shanna graduated in 2001 from Fairmont State College in West Virginia and graduated as a certified veterinary technician. She worked for 9 years at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Orlando, and now enjoys teaching her coworkers at WVC all about what she learned there. One of Shanna’s favorite things about her job is looking under the microscope at all of the interesting samples we get from your pets to make a diagnosis! Outside of work, Shanna enjoys spending time with her husband and two beautiful daughters. Shanna has a background in herding training/trials, conformation training, and professional dog showing, and loves educating people about what it takes to breed and show special breeds!
Certified Veterinary TechnicianKrista is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) from Virginia! She joined our team in 2017 and brings with her over 10 years of experience working in emergency and critical care hospitals. Krista is excited to join the WVC family and says her favorite part of being back in daily practice is being able to do dentistry again! Krista has 2 dogs, a spunky terrier mix named Kent and a sweet Labrador Retriever (pictured here!) named Sparta. When Krista isn’t here caring for your pets, she loves spending time at the theme parks, playing sports and painting!
Client Care TeamKristina has been with the Williamsburg Veterinary Clinic team since 2016! She is currently attending the University of Central Florida working toward her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Her favorite part of her work here at WVC is continuing to expand her knowledge of the field of veterinary medicine. In her free time, Kristina loves going to all of the theme parks that Orlando has to offer and spending time with her pets. She has a dog named Kona, a kitten named Russell, and a hedgehog named Grits! Kristina also considers Mogli one of her own furbabies (and he says she is the best at making his food the way he likes it!)
Client Care TeamAbigail has been with the WVC team since 2017! She is part of our client care team, answering your calls and helping schedule your pet’s appointments! Abigail is excited to continue to learn about caring for animals in the veterinary setting. Abigail recently moved back to Florida from Honduras where she lived with her family (including her cats who have their own catio!). Abigail likes to spend her time outside of the clinic getting her nails done and spending time having fun at the theme parks with friends!
Director of Feline ActivitiesMogli is our very esteemed Director of Feline Activities. He earned this prestigious title in 2014 and never lets his team forget just how important he is to Williamsburg Veterinary Clinic! His duties in the clinic include being the head of security, chief lap warmer, clinic cage bedding standards supervisor, expert mood booster and Fancy Feast sampler extraordinaire. Mogli has also taken on the responsibility of being our expert lizard catcher after his retirement from being our Clinic Blood Donor in 2017. When he isn’t fulfilling his long list of duties, you will probably find Mogli getting pets and cuddles from team members and clients or sleeping and sunbathing on his cube in the alcove.
